The plains used to scare me a lot. my tip for the plains is to learn how to perfect block. The more health you have, the more damage you can block. Put faith in your sheild but also raise your skill before going in. I would say perfect blocking a troll will get you a good idea of how powerful the enimes in the plains are. The key is confidence in what you can do.

first guide to mention anything about STAGGER with the special attacks, looked like the 2 hand sword could stagger normal melee enemies, but i dont think you used the berserker axes on them, curious what the new special move’s stagger is, with star enemies etc

Here’s a tip for leveling up strength: eat a stew that gives the strength+ buff and your strength will level up much faster with each time you swing a melee weapon. If you do nothing but swing to level up your strength, you can go up by about two levels a day even if you’re at level 40 or higher, provided that the strength+ buff is active while you swing. I personally used the Boiled Meat stew to activate the strength+ buff since it’s cheap and easy to make, though the buff will last much longer if you eat the Greg stew instead. The Greg stew is a lot more expensive however, so I just use Boiled Meat.

Dundr is my favorite so far, makes harvesting wood a breeze because the thing can launch fallen trees LONG distances into both other trees to knock them down and into enemies dealing damage.

The devs played this game so much with mods that they have introduced them in the core game

Don't sleep on spears, the nature and storm variants are extremely good because of the fast attackspeed that the spear has. That 20% chance to ensnare enemies with a nature weapon for example becomes very easy to apply consistently. And while you can point out that the dual axes also have a fast swingspeed, you can't hold a shield while using them. Spears are legit useful in this update, even with all the skeletal enemies.

The Splitnir is incredibly good against asksvins, they're weak to it, you parry an asksvin and throw the spear at it, then finish it with 2 more attacks. It won't get out of stagger

7:32 roots actually can be attacked when turn on PVP mode

I have over 600 hours put into this game and you just blew my mind with the surtling core fireworks, deconstructing of the stone towers, renaming portals at both sides and using unnamed portals! Thanks, this is great! I'm going to surprise my friends with the fireworks when I "open" my newly upgraded house in our base. It's going to have a large fire on top, so this is perfect :D I have a tip for you as well: You can bind commands to any key you want. This is extremely useful. A very simple example is binding taunts to certain keys. Like pointing to quickly /point in a direction, or /wave to say hi to your friends: /bind Y point /bind U wave /bind I dance My favorite binding is useful when you have a large base that tanks the performance. You can significantly improve performance by decreasing your draw distance, as that means less building pieces and terrain modifications need to be loaded/shown. You can do this in the game settings, but you can also use the /lodbias command, which you can bind to a key: /bind O lodbias 1 /bind P lodbias 5 Now, you can quickly decrease the draw distance by pressing the "o" key. Just don't forget to press the "p" key to increase draw distance when you go out for an adventure! You could use it in many more modes, of course. Like for being able to toggle the /fly command or to have a dedicated key to kick your friend. For special keycode I refer to the Unity KeyCode documentation. I think you can map controller buttons as well.

Bow fan tip : if you run out of arrow and still want rely on ranged attack, just like with logs you can pick up some heavy rocks on the ground and throw them on ennemies. Saved me few times and those are comon to find in some areas. Now that i learned that i can just craft arrows in combat i'm not sure this is very use full tho 😅
